200 Cars or 25: The $50,000 Math

Video coming soon

How the math works

$50,000 month At $250: 200 cars At $2,000: 25 cars 175 fewer cars to handle

Every detailer has a monthly number in mind. The price you charge decides how many cars it takes to hit it and how hard you and your staff work to get there.

Run your own math

  1. Write down the monthly revenue you want your shop to make.
  2. Divide it by your average ticket today. That is how many cars you need each month.
  3. Divide it again by $2,000. That is how many protection jobs would get you to the same number.
  4. Compare both numbers with what your bays and your staff can actually handle.

Why it matters

At $250 a car, a $50,000 month takes 200 cars. That is roughly ten every working day, each one booked, prepped, washed, inspected and handed back.

At $2,000 a car, the same month takes 25. The shops charging $2,000 in your city do not own better polishers. They sell a result instead of an hour and they built a process to sell it.
